Imperial Fists!

Well, I’ve been trying to work out an Imperial Fists force, and given the Heldrake of my most common opponent, it needs to be able to handle flyers!

I don’t have huge numbers of Imperial Fist marines, so I’ll probably have to forgo the additional 500pts of allies (which would, if necessary, be handled by using Deathwatch, Legion of the Damned, Ultramarine or Crimson Fist “allies” for a variation force, or any genuine allies like blood angels or imperial guard).

Imperial Fists are masters of defence, so I’ve gone for a fairly static force based around a defending bastion with icarus lascannon. I figure a combat squadded tac squad would hold the roof and inside of the bastion, while the predator and two dreadnoughts also chuck out some fire support – the other tactical squad(s) and captain (and command squad) could either press forward or hunker down.
